Citar:
After discussing it with PlakkerNL's wife, we decided to let PPDB know that, as speculated, it is indeed not going well with Plakker.
Sunday evening, the 21st of June at around 23:00 he suffered from a myocardial infarction leading to a heart failure. Thank God his wife was present when it happened and acted quickly by calling the emergency telephone number and ran out of the house asking for help. One of our neighbors heard her and came to help immediately as he knew reanimation techniques. Not very much later the police arrived and took over with a defibrillator until the ambulance arrived. He was then taken to a hospital and the 'PTCA procedure' was performed on him. (More info about PTCA.)
Everything went really fast, and one hour and 15 minutes later at 00:15, and his wife and I were able to visit him. He was brought to Intensive Care where his body was cooled down to 32 degrees Celsius for 24 hours. This because it might have more positive results for his brain when he would wake up again (because he might have suffered from oxygen shortage in his brain). After those 24 hours his body was slowly brought back again to a normal temperature and they stopped administering tranquilizer to him.
When he woke up everything was going as perfect as it could go, and not long after that he got transferred from Intensive Care to Heart Protection. He did suffer two weeks memory loss but that wasn't anything serious according to the doctors.
But at that very evening he had severe breathing problems and had to be taken back to Intensive Care and tranquilize him again to have him back on artificial breathing.
This is it so far, and at this moment he's asleep at the hospital.
Update 26-06-09:
Plakker woke up by himself last night, and because he could breathe by himself very well they removed the artificial breathing and cleaned his lungs. He was even able to ask for Kim and they spoke to each other by phone.
This morning he got transferred to Heart Protection again, and this afternoon we went to visit him. He was sitting in bed, watching television and informing me which nurse has the biggest boobs.
His doctor told me they plan to keep him under surveillance at Heart Protection for two more days, and after that he'll get transferred to the regular hospital dorms.
Maneira triste de se abrir um tópico.
